Termas São Pedro do Sul

Opened in a building built during the 30s of the 20th century, the Resende Museum opened its doors to the public in 2006. This space aims to promote the region's heritage, highlighting the ethnography, archeology and Douro River exhibitions.
Amadeo de Souza Cardoso Museum
Founded in 1947 in the cloister of the Convent of Saint Gonçalo, this Museum preserves the life and work of Amadeo de Souza Cardoso, as well as the works of other painters from Amarante, including António Carneiro and Acácio Lino.
Linen Museum
Located near the Viseu city, the Linen Museum aims to preserve the tradition of linen and traditional farming, typical of the place where it is located. This museum is located in an old house, thus portraying the work and life routines of this village.

Grão Vasco Museum

Cavacas de Resende
Although there are no references to its origin, cavacas from Resende are, among the sweets, the best known cake in the region. This one can be found in any cafe, pastry shop or restaurant.
Cherries
Known for their flavor, cherries from Resende are an important regional product and source of income for the county. It is in this sense that the Cherry Festival takes place between the end of May and July.
River Fish
Often caught by the owners of the establishments, the river fish is an increasingly common dish in the Douro region. Accompanied by bean rice and salad, the fish can vary from barbell, pike, perch, carp, and eel.
Roasted Lamb

Penedo de São João

Route of the Romanesque
The Romanesque Route came to preserve and promote the existing Romanesque heritage in the region of Tâmega and Sousa. In Resende we can find the Monastery of Santa Maria de Cárquere, Church of São Martinho de Mouros, Church of Santa Maria de Barrô and the Panchorra Bridge.

Eça de Queiroz Foundation
The Eça de Queiroz Foundation is a non-profit institution created with the aim of disseminating and promoting the work of Eça de Queiroz, education and culture. Created by Maria da Graça Salema de Castro in 1988, in this space we can visit a museum, a library and an auditorium.
Lagariça Tower House
Classified as a Property of Public Interest, this building is known as a place of inspiration for Eça de Queiroz in the writing process of the novel “A Ilustre Casa de Ramires”. The property can be visited with the permission of the owners.
Convent of Saint Gonçalo
It is about 50 minutes away from the municipality of Resende that we can find the Convent of Saint Gonçalo, founded in 1540 at the behest of King John III of Portugal. Classified as a National Monument, the 18th century organ, the Balcony of the Kings and the Bell Tower stand out.
Salzedas Monastery
Classified as a National Monument and located within a small population, the Monastery of Salzedas takes us back to the 17th and 18th centuries, when it underwent renovations. This building is linked to the Cistercian monks, never having been finished.
São João de Tarouca Monastery

Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary
Built in the mid-18th century in honor of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, this shrine is located on top of the Monte de Santo Estêvão, in Lamego. Classified as Property of Public Interest, the highlights are the staircase, the tile panels and the main altarpiece in gilded woodcarving.
Cathedral of Viseu
Started to build during the reign of Afonso Henriques, the Cathedral of Viseu is one of the most famous monuments in the city. Next to the building are the Grão Vasco Museum, the Misericórdia Church and the historic area of the city.
Clérigos Tower
